Quality Control Engineer

Quality Control Engineer is mainly responsible for evaluating the quality assurance of our processes and products, they will then recommend revisions of the indicated specifications.

Main responsibilities:

H&S

  • You are responsible for your own personal health and safety and for those around you and must comply with all Company H&S policies and advice
  • Keep an eye open for improvements to H&S and pass ideas to your manager

Inspection

  • Inspection of all materials arriving from suppliers
  • Inspection and maintenance of machinery used in production
  • Inspection of all in house procedures factory based
  • Record all inspections and document findings

Testing

  • Product testing
  • System and procedure testing
  • Liasing with production team
  • Weekly meetings with Factory Manager

Quality Assurance

  • Formulate quality assurance procedures
  • Train staff to use quality assurance tools
  • Identify and technical issues and eliminate them from process
  • Audit our systems taking guide from ISO 9001
  • Monitor the entire production cycle and continuously make improvements
  • Liaise with internal departments to make process as efficient as possible

HR

  • Ensure your qualifications are kept up to date
  • Request training for personal and professional development

Training

  • Support with technical training, product and technology
  • Organise relevant training sessions
  • Ensure you have correct and up to date qualifications and certifications to operate safely and efficiently

Skills required

  • Ability to work independently and be a part of a team
  • High attention to detail to ensure proper manufacturing of products
  • Sincere work ethic for adhering to standards set by Aston Architectural Aluminium’s strict guidelines
  • Excellent interpersonal and team player skills
  • Open to consistent training and personal improvement
